Elon Musk and SpaceX coverage:

Such launches generally are visible from Ventura County.

The Wednesday launch was rescheduled from another date because SpaceX needed more time to prepare the rocket for launch, according to Iridium.

The launch is part of an effort by Iridium to update its satellite network that provides voice and data coverage to satellite phones, pagers and other communication devices around the world.
