Construction on South Howell Avenue near airport to begin Monday

Reconstruction of South Howell Avenue near Mitchell International Airport begins Monday, according to the Milwaukee Department of Public Works.

Traffic on Howell will be reduced to one lane in each direction from West Grange to West Layton avenues. 

The project, managed by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation in conjunction with the DPW, is expected to last into December, weather permitting.

Access to the airport from Howell Avenue will be maintained, the DPW said, but drivers should be aware of traffic pattern changes and possible delays.
