Michigan Livestock Expo sets new sale record
Buyers at the Michigan Livestock Expo set a new record during the annual sale-abration event.
More than $260,000 was raised for youth scholarships and programs at the 10th annual event, topping 2014’s record by nearly $30,000.
Meijer, the largest buyer at the auction, also set a record of $30,000 for the Grand Champion steer. The Grand Champion hog sold for more than $30,000, twice the record set in 2010.
