What's that loud sound in the Milwaukee sky? It's the Air Force Thunderbirds team

Usually they're heard before they're seen. A loud whoosh or rumble coming from the sky courtesy of the F-16C Fighting Falcon jet engines.

The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds are scheduled to arrive at Milwaukee's Mitchell International Airport Thursday afternoon, practice on Friday and perform Saturday and Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Milwaukee Air & Water Show.

Practice and performance schedules can be affected by weather, though. The National Weather Service forecast for Milwaukee calls for rain and thunderstorms on Friday and a chance for rain on Saturday and Sunday.

The Milwaukee Air & Water Show is selling tickets for seating next to the lakefront for the show, though anyone downtown can get a glimpse of the Air Force aerobatic performance team performing wing tip to wing tip.
