Paul's liquor store to hold grand opening July 27 on 27th Street in Greenfield

GREENFIELD - Paul's Wine & Liquor 2 at 4955 S. 27th St., Greenfield, will have a grand opening Friday, July 27, starting at 10 a.m., with giveaways, including free Milwaukee Brewers tickets.

This is the second liquor store for owner Paul Sidhu, whose original Paul's Wine & Liquor is at 4415 W. Loomis Road.

Sidhu had lived in Greenfield for 30 years before moving recently.

"I love the city of Greenfield," he said. He is proud of having bought a number of ailing Greenfield business properties, brought them back to health and sold them."From nothing to something special," he said.

Currently, he has his eye on what he considers a rundown house near his new liquor store. He would like to raze it and build something new, he said.

Paul's Wine & Liquor 2 is inside a newly built structure. The 3,000-square-foot store will have a large selection of wine, beer and liquor, he said. The sometimes-hard-to-find 175-liter bottles will be available at his new store, Sidhu said.

With decades in the liquor store, business, Sidhu said he has come to know what people want. "Whatever they're looking for, they're going to get it," he said.

Store hours will be 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily, he said.
