PP401 To Thank You

Happy Sunday, everyone!  Hope your weekend is going swimmingly!  Joanne is our Paper Players hostess today with an incredible color combination!  Check out these gorgeous colors:

I must admit at first, these colors felt a bit intimidating; then I began to have lots of ideas but no time in which to put them to paper!  Darn!  Anyway, I did do two simple cards, the first using the Freshly Made Sketches sketch, which almost did me in with that skewed panel:

I colored a panel of a piece of Graceful Glass vellum with markers (Granny Apple Green and Highland Heather) and Lovely Lipstick ink and a blender pen, then added a white-embossed sentiment from Rooted in Nature and some black and white washi tape:

The tilt to the sentiment makes me feel a little wonky, but I am going with it!

My second card uses some dies that I won recently, and I don't know the manufacturer, sorry!  I cut each sentiment from one of the challenge colors, then simply adhered them to a card that had been run through the Big Shot with an older Papertrey texture plate.  I added some baker's twine from my stash, a glimmer embellishment and some little stitched hearts from Stitched Labels and called it a day...easy peasy!

Thanks for popping in today...hope you'll stop by the Paper Players blog, check out what the other DT members created (there are some lovely ones there!!) and share your creation with us too!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

At a recent trip to McD's

we found Mrs Incredible holding up Cassidy's drink cup:

LOL, I am not quite sure what prompted that look, but it's priceless!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

It's like, "Are you seriously taking another picture of me?" LOL. Look at those gorgeous blue eyes and your two beautiful cards. Yes, the wonky won was a stickler for me so I didn't play. BUT you and Amy have given me incentive.

Great cards, LeAnne! I love the way you colored the first DSP for the color challenge. Your sentiment was the perfect thing for the "askew" portion of the sketch. Cassidy's expression is priceless!!

These are cute cards. I love how you've used (and colored) the vellum panel on the first, and I'm proud of you for powering through your aversion to the tilted panel. :)

LeAnne, that is a priceless look on Cassidy's face :-) I love both your takes on the challenge. The stained glass with the black and white is gorgeous and I love that you created a card using these colors that isn't floral.

That's the prettiest stained glass vellum card I've seen. I think it's the vibrancy of the colours contrasting with the clean white space and pops of black. Gorgeous!

LeAnne, I love your creations so far using those vellum sheets, and this one is gorgeous! Fabulous take on the sketch, too. Equally love the simplicity and wonderful message of the second one!
