Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh spoke to law students at Marquette Law School
Brett Kavanaugh, President Donald Trump's nominee for Supreme Court Justice, visited Milwaukee twice in the past four years to give speeches to students at Marquette University Law School.
In 2015, Kavanaugh visited Marquette to speak during the E. Harold Hallows Lecture about the separation of powers under Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama.

He also spoke in April 2016 as part of the "On the Issues" series.
Kavanaugh grew up in Washington, D.C., but is a fan of Marquette men's basketball, according to an article in the fall 2016 edition of Marquette Lawyer. The same edition published a transcript of his 2015 speech.
