The North 25th Street Bridge over the Menomonee River will close for repairs on July 9 and remain closed through early August, the Milwaukee Department of Public Works announced Friday.

The bridge will be closed from West Canal Street to Mount Vernon Avenue.

Businesses in the area will be accessible going southbound on North 25th Street from West St. Paul to West Mount Vernon avenues.

West Canal Street will remain open in both directions, but drivers will not be able to exit the roundabout north onto North 25th Street.

DPW advises accessing business on West Canal Street such as the Potawatomi Hotel & Casino via South 13th Street at West St. Paul Avenue.
