Under $1,500 for a roundtrip CMB-DFW First Class ticket on Etihad, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, is an experience a group of flyers will experience in 2014. Yesterday, there was a mistake rate that lasted for hours flying from Colombo, Sri Lanka to DFW, Dallas Fort Worth.
Here is a photo spread of the Etihad exhibit at ITB Berlin travel trade show in March 2013.

I tried out the Etihad seat, opened the table and closed the doors.
But when I opened the doors again, I was still in Berlin.
I was aware of the Etihad CMB-DFW fare while it was live yesterday evening, in what was probably the first time in months I even looked at the FlyerTalk Mileage Run forum.
The airfare was too rich for my blood with a starting point in Sri Lanka. My last real mileage runs were 2007 on $450 business class mistake fare Delta flights between Buenos Aires and New York.
Sri Lanka and Abu Dhabi look like an exciting trip at a relatively low fare for what you experience in either business or first.
Enjoy your flights.
