Ex-MU star Andrew Rowsey will chase NBA dream on Toronto Raptors' summer league team

Former Marquette guard Andrew Rowsey is getting his shot at landing a NBA roster spot.

Rowsey will compete for the Toronto Raptors in the NBA summer league.

The Raptors, who did not have a pick in Thursday's NBA draft, were one of several teams Rowsey worked out for over the last month. He also had auditions with the Milwaukee Bucks, Atlanta Hawks, Minnesota Timberwolves, Detroit Pistons, Dallas Mavericks, Sacramento Kings and Los Angeles Lakers

Rowsey measured 5 feet, 9.75 inches and 176 pounds at the Portsmouth Invitational in April. He went on to earn all-tournament honors in the senior showcase.

The sharpshooter finished his collegiate career with one of the best offensive seasons in MU history, setting school records for points (716) and three-pointers (122) in a season.

The Las Vegas summer league begins on July 6 with the Raptors playing the New Orleans .
