Michigan artist, Christi Uliczny, the polymer clay artist behind Cabin Fever Clay, is entirely self- taught.  Her work is amazing - particularly her exquisite faux ceramic pendants.  Her talent using crackle medium and her unerring sense of color and design shows through with her entire collection.

She explains, "I have tried lots of different crafts, including scrapbooking, rubber stamping, flower arranging, embroidery, just to name a few. Once I found polymer clay, I turned what was just a craft into what I think is my art." It surely is!

Polymer clay offers some advantages over true ceramic pieces.  They are much lighter - an important factor if you are designing a full necklace with lots of beads.  They also don't break if you accidentally drop the piece!

Lately, she has introduced her equally impressive water color polymer clay collection:

Christi does provide instructions for those who are keen to learn her faux polymer techniques through her PDF tutorials

She also creates colorful sets of polymer clay handled crochet hooks in her other store, River Valley Design.
