Ruidoso Downs Race Track Offers Special Mexican Fiesta Weekend

A special weekend for the Hispanic culture is planned at Ruidoso Downs Race Track this weekend.

Saturday night a concert featuring AB Quintanilla Elektro Kumbia will be held at 8 p.m. The brother of Selena, A.B. Quintanilla is known for producing her music and creating the band, Kumbia Kings.

The concert will be outdoors with the stage on the race track.

Also, this weekend, there will be a mariachi band playing in the Ruidoso Downs Race Track grandstand Saturday and Sunday afternoons, and the Car Show of Hope will be hosted in the parking area outside Billy the Kid Casino starting Saturday morning.

The car show is being produced by the Freshboyz Car Club, a local group of classic car enthusiasts.

First post time each day for the races is 1 p.m. Parking and General admission is free.
