Free Apple camps for kids around South Florida

Apple stores are opening registration for free Apple camps for kids 8 to 12 years old on June 10 and running through July 30. Classes are held Thursday through Sunday, times vary.

The focus is “Design Your Dream Inventions on iPad”

Kids will be encouraged to think like an inventor and follow the process from brainstorm to blueprint. Using iPad and Apple Pencil, they’ll work together to develop ideas that improve our neighborhoods. Then, they will turn them into trading card–style GIFs using Keynote and Freeform. Return visits are encouraged to help bring every idea to life. Recommended for ages 8–12. Devices provided.

For sessions with amplified sound, hearing loop technology is available on request.

Miami-Dade locations:
