Michael Kahn

Attorney Kahn honored by bar association

The Brevard County Bar Association recently awarded Melbourne-based attorney, Michael H. Kahn the 2018 Private Attorney Professionalism Award.

The Professionalism Award is given in recognition “of tireless pursuit and practice of the highest ideals and tenets of the legal profession.” Also noted is consistently demonstrating the essential attributes of professionalism: character, competence and commitment.

Kahn graduated with a bachelor’s degree and a master’s in teaching from the University of Florida; a master’s from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. He also earned his law degree at Duke University.

LaManna joins Paychex

Sara Campbell LaManna recently was hired by Paychex Inc., a leading provider of integrated human capital management solutions for payroll, HR, retirement, and insurance services, as a major market consultant. LaManna’s area covers Brevard County and focuses on businesses with 50 employeers or more. LaManna will assist clients human capital management system which encompasses payroll, workers compensation, regulation updates from state and federal, time and labor, and health/401k benefits.

LaManna graduated from Melbourne Central Catholic High School in 2010 and then graduated from Rollins College with a degree in international business before joining ADP Inc. in 2014. At ADP she rose to district manager in that company’s San Jose, California, office before she and her husband returned to Brevard.

The 45-year-old Paychex, headquartered in Rochester, serves approximately 605,000 payroll clients across more than 100 locations. The company says it pays one out of every 12 American private sector employees. Learn more about Paychex by visiting www.paychex.com.

Dale Armour

Amour is new CFO at Melbourne Regional Medical Center

Melbourne Regional Medical Center recently named Dale Armour as its new chief financial officer. Armour comes to Melbourne Regional from Rush Health Systems in Meridian, Mississippi., where he served for the past seven years in several executive capacities.

During his 30-year career, Armour has worked for hospitals in Alabama, Florida, Georgia and Mississippi.

Armour earned a bachelor of science degree in 1983 from the University of Montevallo in Montevallo, Alabama., with a dual major in psychology and sociology. Three years later, he completed a bachelor of business administration degree with a major in accounting from Samford University in Birmingham.

Dale brings an incredible amount of experience that fits perfectly with the vision and excellence that Steward Health Care brings to our hospital,” said Ron Gicca, president of Melbourne Regional Medical Center. Armour has a long list of accomplishments and system-wide performance enhancements to his credit. Recently, he helped develop an in-house reference lab for Rush Health Systems, expanded services and focused on improving patient quality and access.
