Trump Attorney Michael Cohen Has Told Friends He 'Expects to be Arrested Any Day Now': Vanity Fair's Gabriel Sherman
Donald Trump’s longtime personal attorney Michael Cohen “has told friends that he expects to be arrested any day now,” Vanity Fair’s Gabriel Sherman reports.
In a text message to Sherman, Cohen insisted the reporters “alleged source is wrong,” but Sherman says Cohen has told friends an indictment is imminent.
Friends of the president say the president “should be super worried about Michael Cohen.”
"If anyone can blow up Trump, it’s him,” a former White House aid told Sherman.
“It’s going to hit the fan pretty soon,” a friend told Sherman.
Though Trump is outwardly projecting focus on his meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, Sherman notes people close to Trump say he’s “very worried” about the progression of special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation. Mueller is expected to deliver his findings on obstruction of justice next month, Sherman reports.
