Top Trump Advisor Apologizes for 'Inappropriate' Language After He Said 'There's A Special Place in Hell' For Canada's Trudeau

Peter Navarro, who serves as assistant to Donald Trump, apologized on Tuesday for claiming there’s a “special place in hell” for Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

Navarro made the remark on "Fox News Sunday” last week, escalating the president’s attacks on Trudeau.

“There's a special place in hell for any foreign leader that engages in bad faith diplomacy with President Donald J. Trump and then tries to stab him in the back on the way out the door," Navarro said. "And that's what bad faith Justin Trudeau did with that stunt press conference. That's what weak, dishonest Justin Trudeau did, and that comes right from Air Force One.”

Trudeau drew ire from the Trump Administration after he floated retaliatory tariffs against the United States and promised to “always protect Canadian workers and Canadian interests.”
