Trump gives dairy example of trade deficits at Canada G7 Summit

President Trump says America has trade deficits with Canada, Mexico, and the European Union, and all have unfair trade policies.  Trump told reporters in Quebec, Canada Friday that dairy trade is just one example.  “You saw where Canada charges our dairy farmers 270% tariffs.  We don’t charge them, or if we do, it’s like a tiny percentage, so we have to straighten it out.”

Trump told reporters at the G7 Summit it won’t be hard to straighten out those deficits.  He also tweeted saying if it doesn’t happen, the U.S. would come out even better.

Agriculture groups are urging the President to quickly resolve trade issues and bring certainty back to the ag markets.
