Reporter and former morning news anchor Tim Elliott is leaving WISN-TV (Channel 12) for what co-workers are calling "another opportunity."

News anchor-reporter Tim Elliott is leaving WISN-TV (Channel 12), saying on Twitter that he'll reveal his next destination soon.

Elliott joined the Milwaukee ABC affiliate in April 2015 as the station's breaking news anchor for its morning newscasts. For much of the second half of 2017, he anchored WISN's weekend morning news. When Eden Checkol took over that job in November, the station said Elliott would have an expanded role as a reporter for the ABC affiliate's evening newscasts.

Elliott's co-workers at WISN gave him shout-outs on Twitter Friday.
