The continue to churn the bottom of their roster and are expected to add some more depth to the position according to Nick Eatman.

Eric Pinkins, a former sixth-round draft pick by the in 2014, has yet to make a noticeable mark in the NFL. In fact, he's only been active 11 games in his three-year career. Things didn't pan out for him in Seattle and his most recent stent with the in 2017 didn't go as planned either.

For the Dallas Cowboys, this is a depth signing. They seem to already have their starters in Sean Lee, , and , but the depth behind them is a little thin and unproven. Pinkins has an uphill battle to make the roster, but his familiarity with Kris Richard could give him an advantage over other LBs.

Richard, the Dallas Cowboys new secondary coach and passing game coordinator, was the Seahawks defensive coordinator during Eric Pinkins' tenure in Seattle. Richard could have put a bug in the Cowboys' ear, which could have something to do with Dallas bringing him aboard.

Kris Richard may have had a hand in his signing, but the ball is now in Eric Pinkins court and it will be up to him as to whether or not he can stick around.
