Silver Alert issued for missing Milwaukee woman

A Silver Alert has been issued for a missing, cognitively impaired Milwaukee woman who walked away from her home shortly after 12:30 p.m. Saturday, authorities said.

Deborah A. Berthold, 62, is described as white, 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing 185 pounds, with a rainbow tattoo on her right shoulder. 

She has gray hair, a ponytail that hangs down her back and brown eyes, according to the alert issued by the Wisconsin Department of Justice.

She was wearing an orange T-shirt with cartoon characters on it, white pants, light blue tennis shoes with Velcro straps and a gold ring on her right hand, according to the alert.

She was seen walking in the area of the 1600 block of S. 7th St. in Milwaukee, according to the alert, which asks anyone who knows where Berthold is to call Milwaukee police at (414) 935-7405.
