Milwaukee Highland Games

Date/place: June 2, Hart Park, 7300 Chestnut St., Wauwatosa

Hours: 9 a.m.-10 p.m. Saturday

Highlights: Journey back to the days of fighting knights, athletic competitions of brute force on open fields, and the parade of pipes that define Scottish culture. Bring the entire family to witness a full day of dancing, cricket, archery and ax throwing demonstrations. Horses and sheepdogs will be on display and demonstrate their own show of skill, while massed bands of pipers and dancers announce the start of the festival season.

Admission: $10 adults; free for children age 12 and under; Active military in uniform are admitted free; $3 off before 10 a.m. with a per person donation of a non-perishable food item.
