Brewers pitcher Jeremy Jeffress and his dog, Domino, were at the center of a profile by The Athletic on May 23.

Thursday night at Miller Park was Bark at the Park Night, meaning fans could bring their dogs to cheer on the Milwaukee Brewers against the New York Mets. The most high-profiled furry friend happens to be Domino, the pocket bully belonging to Brewers reliever Jeremy Jeffress.

Ken Rosenthal at The Athletic wrote a fascinating profile of Jeffress on Wednesday, highlighting the way he's battled back from a pair of suspensions related to marijuana use. The article mentioned Jeffress' passion for the first-person video game Fortnite as well as Domino, a dog Jeffress picked up last fall from his home Virginia.

"He’s a fat little boy,” Jeffress said in the article. “He takes up a lot of my time as well.”

Jeffress also happens to be having a remarkable season, with a 0.35 ERA heading into the weekend and seemingly putting those early-career issues in the rear-view mirror.

The Brewers handed over the keys to their social media account to Domino for the night.
