Wisconsin senior Taylor Amann continues to soar to new heights.

First: Big Ten indoor champion.

Then: Big Ten outdoor champion.

Oh, and before that, she won a competition-based TV show against her collegiate peers.

Taylor Amann is a multi-time Big Ten champion in the pole vault. She's now looking to qualify for a second time for the NCAA championship meet.

Could an NCAA title be next?

Amann, a 2014 Arrowhead High School graduate, earned her first Big Ten outdoor championship in the pole vault earlier this month.

She now has her eyes on achieving more success at the national level.

Amann and the Badgers are at the 2018 NCAA West Preliminary Championships this weekend in Sacramento, Calif.

Action began Thursday and continues through Saturday at Hornet Stadium.

The women's pole vault event is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. (Central Standard Time) Friday.

The top-12 finishers from the preliminary championship will join the top-12 finishers from the NCAA East Preliminary Championships at the NCAA Championship June 6-9, at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore.

If the seeds hold at the preliminary championship, Amann should find herself back on the West Coast competing for an NCAA title.

She enters the preliminary championship seeded third of 48 entrants.

Amann qualified for the NCAA Championship as a sophomore. She placed 21st with a height of 13-feet 3½ inches (4.05m).

She has only improved since then.

She won Big Ten indoor titles in 2017 and 2018 with heights of 13-feet 9¼ inches (4.20m) and 13-feet 10½ inches (4.23m), respectively, setting school records in the process.

Most recently on May 11 at the Big Ten Outdoor Championship, Amann recorded a personal best of 14 feet 3½ inches (4.36m) to win her third conference title.

Winning titles is nothing new for Amann. A couple of years ago, she appeared with two teammates from UW on the Esquire Network as part of the inaugural American Ninja Warrior "College Madness" showcase. Her Wisconsin team won the overall title.

Amann was a varsity gymnast at Arrowhead for three years but really flourished in track and field. She finished second in the pole vault at the 2014 WIAA Division 1 state meet as a senior.
