Prosecutors move to have teen suspects tried as adults in Oxnard homicide case

Prosecutors charged two teenagers with murder and filed a motion Wednesday to have them tried as adults in the murder of an Oxnard man earlier in the week, according to the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office.

The two suspects, both males ages 15 and 16, were each charged with the murder of Adrian Ornelas, 26, of Oxnard. Prosecutors filed a motion to transfer their juvenile cases to adult court.
