The FJ Company 1986 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ62 is a pristine example of what’s possible in the world of vintage SUVs. Rebuilt to near-original specs and then outfitted with just the right amount of performance upgrades for a client in Austin, Texas, this is a vehicle that’s equally at home as a beach cruiser or daily driver. The original 3F engine was rebuilt with OEM parts. The suspension was upgraded to an Old Man Emu setup. The four-wheel drive components were rebuilt to handle mud, water and rock crawling. Inside, you’ll find hand-stitched vinyl eats, a power sunroof, a modern sound system and plenty of sweet ’80s rocker switches. Once again, The FJ Company has taken a vehicle that was already cool in its own right and made it better than original.
