Makeover ideas galore on display in NARI Milwaukee's Tour of Remodeled Homes this weekend

Kitchen and bathroom remodels remain the most-requested jobs by consumers looking to upgrade their home, and you can see how some recent makeovers of those rooms turned out — plus a lot more — during this weekend’s annual NARI Milwaukee Tour of Remodeled Homes.

The 2018 tour, which runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, features 19 homes in southeastern Wisconsin that have undergone remodeling by NARI members, said Jason Cyborowski of J & J Contractors I LLC in Greendale.

“People are really going to be able to get a large amount of ideas for a remodel project,” he said. “You’re going to see bathrooms, kitchens, fireplaces.”

The annual tour includes some whole floor remodeling projects and even a house addition.

“Anything you want in a house you’ll be able to see,” Cyborowski said.

Staff members of the companies that performed the work may be on site to answer questions from visitors, he said.

Tickets to the event — $15 in advance online or $20 at the door of the first house you visit — are good for both days and allow entry into all homes during tour hours. Proceeds from the event benefit Aurora Cancer Care, Cyborowski said.

“If you really wanted to make a weekend of it, you could go to 10 one day and nine the next,” said Cyborowski, who has three houses in the tour and is chairman of the NARI Milwaukee tour committee.
