Indiana ag leaders highlight importance of ethanol

Indiana farmers, ethanol producers, and governmental officials highlighted the importance of biofuels at the 2018 Ethanol Forum by Indiana Corn Growers Association.

Indiana Lt. Governor Suzanne Crouch says she is pleased that President Trump is considering year-round sales of E15.

During the ethanol forum this morning, she said she will continue to advocate for biofuels because they are crucial to a strong rural comeback…

“Increased E15 sales would open the market place, increase competition, help lower consumer fuel costs, and increase farm incomes,” she says.

The event commemorated 10 years of ethanol growth.

Indiana Corn Marketing Council also recognized Family Express and the City of Fort Wayne for their dedication to promoting ethanol in the Hoosier state. Nine ethanol plants were also honored including: Iroquois Bioenergy, The Andersons Clymers Ethanol, Poet Biorefining in Portland, Central Indiana Ethanol, Valero Energy in Linden, Poet Biorefining in Alexandria, Green Plains Renewable Energy inBluffton, Poet Biorefining in North Manchester, and Cardinal Ethanol.
