Malik Hooker is back in cleats and running, seven months after his ACL tear

Indianapolis Colts free safety Malik Hooker (29) limps off the field after getting hurt in the first half of their game at Lucas Oil Stadium, Sunday, Oct 22, 2017.

Second-year Indianapolis Colts safety Malik Hooker is back on the field seven months after tearing his ACL and MCL.

The Ohio State product played in seven games as a rookie before a devastating low block against the Jacksonville Jaguars tore up his right knee. He led the Colts with three interceptions and, according to Pro Football Focus, ranked ninth among all safeties at that point.

Hooker tweeted after the injury that it was a "fun year while it lasted ... starting this journey for the return....stay tuned."

For the first time Tuesday, Hooker was back on the field running in cleats.

"I Never Sweated Taking A Lost, I Jus Got My Mind Back Right And Came Back Twice As Hard," he wrote in a tweet. "First Day Back On The Field With Cleats A Little Rusty But It's A (expletive) Good Start SavageSZN Almost In Full Affect."
