GREEN BAY - Fire and rescue equipment were on standby Wednesday afternoon as a Delta Airlines flight from Detroit to Green Bay made an emergency landing when it arrived at Austin Straubel International Airport.

Airport director Tom Miller said the pilot radioed ahead about an unspecified problem, and all the normal precautions were taken as the Boeing 717 came in, landed safely and taxied into position under its own power at 4:30 p.m.

None of the 108 passengers or five crew members was injured and the plane sustained no observable damage, but the problem would have to be checked out, Miller said.
