Quick Thoughts

Baskin-Robbins

The Baskin-Robbins offer is worse than last week as that functioned as a $2 gift card. My offer this week was $1 off a milkshake so I’ll be giving this one a pass. Check your offer in the app though in case they offer different discounts to different people.

Groupon

30% off on Groupon local deals is a great discount. Groupon frequently offers additional coupon codes, but they’re usually only for 20%. The maximum discount is for $40, so you could max it out on a $133.33 deal.

Be aware that the terms state the code has to be used on the Groupon app; this was enforced the last time there was a deal like this on T-Mobile Tuesdays, so you can’t use it on their website.

HotelStorm

Be wary if using the HotelStorm offer seeing as booking.com reservations are excluded. When doing a search on HotelStorm, it seems like the lowest cost reservations are booked through booking.com, so a 7 night Motel 6 reservation for $300 is unlikely to net you a $350 Amazon gift card.

Thankfully the search results make it fairly obvious which results will be made on booking.com versus earning the gift card.

Tune In

I’d not heard of it before today’s offer, but Tune In appears to be the Spotify of radio stations. They offer a free service which includes ads, or you can sign up for their Premium service.

Tune In Premium normally costs $9.99 per month, so in theory you’d be saving ~$20 with this T-Mobile Tuesdays offer. Having said that, they usually offer a 7 day free trial for new users, so your savings are closer to $17.50. It looks like you have to provide credit card details for the 60 day free trial, so be sure to cancel before the end of that period, otherwise the subscription will auto-renew.

Deadpool 2

It’s unlikely you’ll win tickets in the sweepstakes, but you’ve got to be in it to win it. Your offer might be different though as DoC listed the Deadpool 2 offer as $4 Atom tickets.

What is the best way to game this for someone who must have Verizon for regular use due to the remote location of one of our family members?

Cheapo pre-paid phone you never use?

Turn phone on for 1-day use every Tuesday?

Etc.? Thanks.
