Indiana corn planting pace stays slow

Cold, snowy conditions continued to delay field work in the Hoosier state last week.

The USDA says most soil temperatures were not conducive for good germination. One percent of the corn crop has been planted.

Winter wheat is 60 percent good to excellent.

Topsoil moisture is 98 percent and subsoil moisture is 97 percent adequate to surplus.
