Utah State guard Koby McEwen is transferring to Marquette.

The Marquette men's basketball team added another transfer guard on Sunday, securing a commitment from Utah State point guard Koby McEwen.

The 6-foot-4, 200-pound McEwen will sit out next season but then will have two seasons of eligibility.

As a sophomore for the Aggies last season, he averaged 15.6 points, 5.4 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game.

McEwen, a Toronto native, was the Mountain West Conference’s freshman of the year in the 2016-'17.

He announced he was leaving Utah State a few days after Craig Smith was introduced as the team's new coach

With the addition of McEwen and Fordham graduate transfer Joseph Chartouny, the Golden Eagles have all 13 scholarships accounted for next season.
