Foiled Card & Creative Vision Stamps
Hi there! I’m back with Creative Vision Stamps to highlight the fantastic FOILables combined with clear stamps, and heat transfer foil.
To create this card I used tangerine tango and basic black cardstock. This card is a regular size 4-1/4″ x 11″ with score in 5-1/2″.
The first thing that I to create the card was select the FOILable that I wanted to use. I select the Giraffe from the Foilables Animals collection, available on Creative Vision Stamps. This collection has around of 16 different animals, with different sizes and in different positions. I cut the foilable page in the same form that I cut my cardstock to create the base card or layers.
Then I foiled the card using Heat Transfer Foil in color Pirate’s Chest and my Minc. However if you have a laminator you can also use the same Heat Transfer Foil. If you are asking how i made the spots and lines in my giraffe, the process was very easy. I “recycled a piece of foil that I used in a dot foilable pattern and to cover all parts I simply cut the pattern in three or four pieces.
My next step to give color was very easy. I took three colors of Classic Ink, Tangerine Tango, Soft Suede and Bermuda Bay and applied the ink using a Jumbo Dauber. I let the ink dry naturally over the paper. It takes a few minutes. I resized the layer using a Loopy Rectangle die cut from Gina Marie Designs and over the body I cut the word UP using the Jumbo Alphabet from Stampin Up.
To create the inlaid technique or hide die cutting, I love to paste behind of the die cut the same design in foam tape. To give more contrast I used black foam on this card and complemented with a sentiment from the clear stamp set Monkey Business with VersaMark and White Embossing Powder.
