York to teach class

James D. York, a local Realtor, will instruct real estate classes in conjunction with the Collier County Public Schools and the District School Board of Collier County's Adult and Community Education Department.

Real Estate Course for Buyers: Naples trends and recent market statistics; the best way to buy/sell real estate in today's market; what is the true value of a home; how appraisals affect your sale. Learn how to buy short sales, save on homeowners insurance, foreclosures and bank-owned properties, content of all real estate contracts and how they can affect your purchase or sale, HUD and closing statements. Also included is a field trip to the county clerk's office for a foreclosure sale. Class meets for four weeks on Wednesday starting Apr. 25 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Cost: $69.

REIS to meet

The Real Estate Investment Society (REIS) will meet on Tuesday, May 8 in the Osprey Room in Pelican Preserve Clubhouse on Treeline Avenue at Colonial Boulevard. Cali model opens

D.R. Horton Southwest Florida announced the grand opening of the Cali model in the new Express Homes community of Wildwood Preserve in Bonita Springs. Five move-in opportunities are available with the 1,828-square-foot Cali floor plan, priced starting in the high $200s. It features three bedrooms, two baths and a two-car garage, plus a den that can be used as a fourth bedroom. Wildwood Preserve also offers three other floor plans. The 1,672-square-foot Aria is available from the high $200s with three bedrooms, two baths and a two-car garage. The Galen has two stories with 2,432 square feet,four bedrooms, 2.5 baths and a two-car garage priced starting in the low $300s. The two-story Elle has 2,807 square feet with five bedrooms, 2.5 baths and a two-car garage priced starting in the mid-$300s. Wildwood Preserve is at the southeast corner of Imperial Parkway and East Terry Street.

Home by Stock underway
Stock Custom Homes has begun construction of a residence at 1260 Gordon River Trail in the Estuary at Grey Oaks. The custom estate will encompass 6,458 square foot under air and furnished by Marc Michaels Interior Design’s Jessica Lee. The property is slated for completion in early 2019. The residence will measure 10,294 total square feet with four bedrooms, four full baths and two-half baths, formal dining room, island kitchen with butler’s pantry, study, wine room, and bar. The outdoor living area will include an island kitchen, dining, fire pit, pool, spa, and conversation areas.

Clubhouse center project

GATES Construction has been selected as the construction manager for the new amenities center at The Dunes of Naples. The project consists of the complete demolition of the existing clubhouse and reconstruction of a new freestanding, two-story, 25,857-square-foot amenities center. Designed by LOTUS Architecture, the amenities center will feature a covered outdoor dining area, a private dining room, an indoor dining area, and a bar that will include inside and outside seating. The club room will be a flexible indoor/outdoor space with food service. The kitchen will encompass a larger space for food prep, food storage and chef’s office. The wellness/fitness center will consist of workout equipment, two group exercise/yoga rooms, two small rooms for massage/physical therapy, flex rooms, and a tennis office and pro shop. The new lagoon pool area will features more seating, conversation areas around fire tables, and an expanded tiki bar. The upper level will feature space for activities, community meetings, and offices.
