The Fox Bros. Piggly Wiggly chain has agreed to open a supermarket in Port Washington, bringing the group's store count to eight.
Fox Bros. expects to open in August in the recently vacated Sentry store near the Wisconsin Avenue interchange with I-43 on Port Washington's north side.
The Hartland-based Piggly Wiggly Midwest franchisee plans to extensively remodel the 47,000-square-foot store, installing new lighting and flooring and replacing most of the refrigeration equipment, company president Pat Fox said Friday.
"It'll be like a brand new grocery store when we're done," he said.
Fox Bros. operates Piggly Wiggly stores in Hartland, Oconomowoc, Slinger, Hubertus, Jackson, Saukville and Hartford.
