When you live in a city that kicks off beer garden season on a snowy Wednesday, you come to expect great things on the weekend.

So, Milwaukee. Bring it.

The T-Bone Bison steak at Edgewater Supper Club.

FOOD FIRST

The Edgewater Supper Club in Pewaukee weaves New Orleans flavors into a Wisconsin menu. A lake view and beer cheese soup only makes it better.

You should consider: Dining critic Carol Deptolla says "the Louisiana-inspired dishes were like a trip to New Orleans itself."

SNACKS ON SNACKS

Friday is 4/20, the unofficial holiday dedicated to smoking and talking about marijuana. You should consider: The 4/20 celebrations are totally legal and range from pizza specials to a Joint IPA release party with Eagle Park Brewing and 1840 Brewing Co., at Eagle Park Brewing.

Amy Schumer (shown with Sasheer Zamata) develops a different perspective on herself in "I Feel Pretty."

MOVIES TO SEE

Five movies open Friday. Some look good like "You Were Never Really Here" and you can't get away from trailers for Amy Schumer in "I Feel Pretty."  You should consider: Because love her or hate her Amy Schumer is funny.

BEER ME

It's last call for Milwaukee Beer Week on Saturday and there's much to choose from including The Wreckoning at The Vanguard. Or head to St. Francis Brewery for the bottle release of Belgian Sunrise which was aged in Chardonnay barrels.

Or be like me and celebrate 6 years of 3 Sheeps beers at an anniversary party at the Sheboygan brewery on Saturday. You should consider: Because beer.

TWO MORE

Gallery Night and Day kicks off Friday night. Look for The Sofie Show, a benefit for the Wisconsin Humane Society. Feel the music at Record Store Day. You should consider: Because it's Milwaukee and there's no snow in the forecast.

The fun doesn't have to stop. Bands and (Cold) Brews kicks off YPWeek at Pilcrow Coffee on Monday. Follow Weekend Guide on Facebook and @katflanigan on Twitter.

Cheers,
