“What do you like about your boyfriend?” Ray asked.

"He’s funny, he’s very kind, he’s thoughtful, he’s super smart. And he’s really good at football,” Patrick said. “And he’s tall and he’s big, and I like that.”

When Ray asked Patrick the last time she laughed until she cried, she brought up her recent trip with Rodgers, which included time in Africa to help the Starkey Hearing Foundation fit people with hearing aids.

“We just went on a trip around the world, literally. We met the Dalai Lama. We did a mission trip for giving hearing aids to people in Africa. And there were some seriously funny people on this trip. There’s one guy that I look at and his face makes me laugh. So for a week straight, I just laughed. ... I think I have a six-pack from it.”

Patrick talks about how she feels about her upcoming retirement from racing after she competes in her final Indy 500 on May 27 and her postracing plans.

Patrick also appeared on NBC’s “Megyn Kelly Today” on Wednesday morning to talk about being a woman in a male-dominated sport. She and Kelly raced each other on go-karts around the studio.
