Dealing with adverse weather

Dan Atkisson farms in northwest Kansas near the town of Stockton. He grows wheat and grain sorghum and also raises registered and commercial Angus cattle.

As a farmer on the High Plains, Atkisson is used to dealing with adverse weather conditions. But this past winter and early spring have been especially challenging, both as a wheat grower and cattle producer.
