Former FBI Director James Comey on Tuesday ripped Donald Trump for treating him “like the breakup he can’t get over,” chiding the president for “waking up in the morning and tweeting” at him.

"He's tweeted at me probably 50 times,” Comey said on “The Late Show” with host Stephen Colbert. “I've been gone for a year, I'm like the breakup he can't get over. He wakes up in the morning ... I'm out there living my best life, he wakes up in the morning and tweets at me.”

Colbert asked Comey a range of questions, including whether he was surprised to get “whacked” by someone described as a “mob boss.”
