Located about mid-way between Heathrow and Central London, this Crowne Plaza is located adjacent to a Tube Station (Hangar Lane, Central Line) on a busy main road.

The property is a converted office building, but where considerable steps have been taken to mitigate the noise from the main road. Offering excellent rates in comparison to central London hotels, especially at weekends and holidays, it has attractions for those on a budget who do not mind taking the tube in to central London.

The Reception is small, but I was served quickly with the sort of friendly service that many have commented about in other reviews. I was offered 600 Priority Club Points or a snack/drink, told how to access the internet and about the Executive Club Allocated a room on the First Floor I popped up in the lift.

The internet works in an odd way. You have to sign in, call Reception with a code displayed on your PC, and they give you a login code. The charge is then taken off when you check out if you qualify for free internet access.

The Executive Lounge (opposite Reception), is a massive disappointment with only one tiny plate of hors d’oeuvres but free beer, and a couple of glasses of wine. I was there not there for breakfast so do not know if it was better.

There is not much around the hotel, a couple of average restaurants and a shop where you can get water, coke and small amounts of groceries.

A good hotel if you can get a good rate, but some distance from the centre of London with nothing interesting in the area.
