Practise makes perfect...well that is unless it comes down to mastering the delicate art of liquid eyeliner. I have tried - and failed miserably- to carve out crisp, black, cat-like flicks and any form of artful eyeliner since before I even knew what a beauty blog was. I kid you not when I say it has been 10 years of frustration and a lifetime of unframed eyes until I discovered a truly easy method. Yes they say cheaters never prosper (and I mostly agree) but when it comes to eyeliner, take the painless route, use Lottie London's Stamp Liner freely and save the once pent up energy you had for the gym.

Stamp eyeliners have been around for at least a few years now but not widely available within the UK and truthfully fairly expensive, hence why it has taken me so long to finally road test one out for myself. At just £5.95 the Lottie London's Stamp Liner is beyond affordable, as a matter of a fact I think you would struggle to find standard liquid eyeliners on the high-street for a similar price, let alone one that is dual ended and innovative? Yes that's right, not only does the Lottie London's Stamp Liner offer a stamp function that is ultimate quick fix in achieving the perfect cat-eye effect but it also features a super fine, felt-tip pen liner - great for those more skilled than I, and for touching up any wing you may create throughout the day.

There is a knack to best utilising the Lottie London's Stamp Liner so I do recommend clearing aside some time to best get acquainted with the nifty tool. I have discovered that it is best if I of course map out exactly where I am going to dab the pen, very quickly push the pre-made wing applicator onto my skin, and without hesitationremove it, in one swift motion. The trick is not only to be speedy but also to apply equal pressure throughout the pen, otherwise it may somewhat bleed or create an uneven stamp. It may sound daunting but in practise I can assure you it is very easy and after a few trial runs, I'm sure most will be creating perfectly winged eyeliner in no time at all.

At the moment the Lottie London Stamp Liner comes in one shade - black but to be entirely fair the formulation is wonderful: it is a true black that does not pull blue-ish on the skin, rather both of the lining options it offers delivers wonderfully pigmented results that wear all day along (with ease 8 hours plus) and without smudging, smearing or crumbling off the skin. No it isn't a waterproof formula - nor does it claim to be - but I find it can with stand sweat and the odd rain shower making it perfect for everyday use.

If I had one discrepancy it would be that the Lottie London Stamp Liner only comes in one size (there are other shaped stamps in fun shapes such as stars and moons) which in my opinion, is a little on the large side as far as the stamping tool is concerned. If you have large eyes and/or enjoy thicker eyeliner then I am sure you will adore the shape and size of the Lottie London liner but if like myself you have smaller eyes, you may find the overall effect a tad overwhelming for day wear. That's not to say I don't think this is a great liner/stamping tool but rather to quickly state that if there was a smaller option/s for sale, I'd be the first in line to snap one up.
