One person died and another was injured early Wednesday morning in a fire on Milwaukee's north side.

The two-alarm fire was reported about 3:55 a.m. When firefighters arrived on the scene in the 2300 block of N. 20th St. near North Ave., they found two houses burning and two people trapped inside, Milwaukee Fire Department Deputy Chief Aaron Lipski said.
