Cedarburg senior John Diener earned all-state recognition from the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association in each of his four seasons.

Cedarburg’s John Diener pulled off a rare feat.

The senior guard earned all-state recognition from the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association for the fourth straight year. The DePaul recruit was an honorable mention pick in Division 2 as a freshman. The next year, he claimed first-team distinction and the past two seasons he has been a unanimous first-team pick.

Diener averaged 23.2 points per game for the Bulldogs this past season and led the team to its second straight North Shore Conference title.

Whitnall senior Tyler Herro was a first-team pick in Division 2 for the third straight season. Two other area players, Milwaukee Washington's Deontay Long in Division 2 and Prairie School's JC Butler in Division 4, received first-team distinction for the second consecutive year.
