Greg Ibach discusses GMO labeling, CRISPR, traceability

Former Nebraska ag director Greg Ibach, now USDA Under Secretary for marketing and regulatory programs, spoke at the recent Nebraska Governor’s Ag Conference in Kearney.  In an interview with Brownfield, Ibach discussed some of issues he’s been dealing with in his first few months on the job, including development of the GMO labeling rule; biotechnology approval and how CRISPR/gene editing is being viewed; and animal disease traceability.
