Distress Oxide and Metal Embossing

Hi there! Today I’m sharing this project over on the So Suzy Stamps Blog featuring three stamps from the last collection. These are part of my favorites because feathers can be used for any occasion and always are great for develop techniques. On this card I am using Feather & Birds, Feather Small and Feathers & Angels.

I used three different colors of embossing powder. I randomly stamped the feathers over a piece of watercolor paper using Versamark Ink and then heat emboss them with WOW Gold Rose, Silver and Gold Embossing Powder.

I roughly watercoloured on the heat embossed images with some Distress Oxide Inks and a wet paint brush. Initially I used four colors of Distress Oxide, Worn Lipstick, Faded Jeans, Peeled Paint and Wilted Violet. But when I was making my watercoloring I added a five color using Wild Honey Distress Oxide Ink.

I then stamped the sentiment Feathers & Angels in black pigment ink, Versafine Onix.

To finalize my card and add some white dots using White Novu Crystal Drops. I cut a decorated frame using Copper/Gold Glossy Rinea Foiled Paper and the Loopy Rectangle Dies from Gina Marie Designs.

I pasted the foiled paper frame over the very vanilla card base using On Point Glue. Also pasted a white foam behind of the stamped layer before to paste it over the card.
