Shots fired, woman injured as police break up possible underage drinking party in Vienna

An 18-year-old woman was injured from shots fired at a possible underage drinking party in Vienna on Saturday night, according to a news release from the Dane County Sheriff's Office. 

Deputies were dispatched to Schumacher Road in Vienna for a possible underage drinking party. Around 11:50 p.m., dispatch updated that a gun was being fired at the location. 

The first responders to the scene reported many people fleeing the area. The Sheriff's Office, State Patrol and police officers from the Village of Waunakee and Village of Deforest all responded to the scene. 

Witnesses said a fight broke out and then shots were fired from two different vehicles, injuring the 18-year-old woman, according to the release. She was taken to a hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening injury. The suspects fled, the release said. 

No suspects are in custody. The investigation is ongoing.
