Florida Lifestyle Homes new St. Martin II model is open for viewing at Quail West.

When Florida Lifestyle Homes opened the doors of its newest model at Quail West Golf & Country Club, the St. Martin II, visitors reacted with enthusiast praise.

"We had an astonishing number of people coming to see this model, more than 700 visitors on the first Sunday of the Lee Parade of Homes," said Randy Frederick, sales professional with Florida Lifestyle Homes. "Everyone loved the home. The compliments began as soon as they stepped through the door."

Parade judges shared the enthusiasm of visitors, awarding the St. Martin II the Superior Home Award, presented by the Lee Building Industry Association.

"One of the characteristics of the St. Martin II that drew a lot of praise is the intricate detail of the ceiling features," Frederick said. "The great room is accented with a dramatic pattern of beams floating within the recesses of a multi-dimensional tray ceiling. The powder room features an elegant domed ceiling. That is the type of detail that is found throughout the St. Martin II."

Several features of the master suite earned special praise. "The master bedroom foyer opens much like a parlor, providing the bedroom with additional privacy," Frederick said. "The his-and-her baths are spectacular, connected by a walk-though shower. A freestanding soaking tub set in an alcove is the focus of her bath, which includes dual vanities and an opulent chandelier. There is a separate dressing room adjoining her walk-in closet. His bath has its own vanity, private water closet and walk-in closet."

The master suite also includes a private outdoor shower, a feature Frederick said received mixed reviews. "There were many of the visitors who were very enthusiastic about the outdoor shower, feeling that it added to the tropical ambiance,” he said, “but there were those who couldn’t understand the appeal."

A benchmark feature of homes by Florida Lifestyle Homes is the creation of spectacular outdoor spaces, and the St. Martin II excelled in that category. The home includes two connected lanais. Set beneath a stained tongue-and-groove ceiling is a living area with a fireplace. The second lanai has a complete outdoor kitchen, bar and dining area with a white ceiling accented by dark stained beams. There is a unique custom pool with a spa, special water feature and two turf-grass sunning areas. A fire pit and raised seating area overlook the pool, and an adjacent putting green provides the ultimate in outdoor living.

"The St. Martin II is a trend-setter in several respects," Frederick noted. "The flooring throughout the home is European white oak, which gives the home an elegant yet comfortable and warm feeling. The ceilings are painted instead of natural wood for a light, airy atmosphere. Instead of travertine flooring in the wet areas, we’ve used shell stone. On the fireplaces, we’ve used tile on the surround rather than stacked stone."

"In fact, visitors to the St. Martin II raved about the use of accent tile in the baths as well as the fireplaces," he added. "The details in the St. Martin II are what make the difference. Overall, the St. Martin II is exceptional in both the design and the interior decor."

The St. Martin II design reflects the influence of West Indies style while using contemporary expanses of glass to take full advantage of the golf course views. With a total of 7,771 square feet under roof, the St. Martin II flows seamlessly from indoor to outdoor living spaces. The home includes four bedrooms, four full baths and a powder room. The open design offers a great room, dining room and a study. The gourmet kitchen features double islands, state-of-the-art appliances and a walk-through butler’s pantry with preparation space.

The St. Martin II is priced at $2.895 million, including furnishings.

Visitors may tour the St. Martin II today, March 11, during the last day of the Lee Building Industry Association’s Parade of Homes. The home will also be featured during the Collier Building Industry Association's Parade of Homes today and next weekend, Friday, March 16, through Sunday, March 18.
