Chateau Labiotte Wine Lip Tints

Although a great deal of Korean beauty is now much more readily available in the UK (even TK Maxx has its own dedicated section) there are still some fun finds out there that we haven’t seen before. I was searching (in vain) for a new brand that’s based around ice-cream and randomly Chateau Labiotte Wine Lip Tints popped up in my search, so I bought three. After this post, I’m definitely gifting these to friends because they’re absolutely not just gimmick – they’re great tints!

As you can see, the lid is the neck of the bottle part which just twists off like any gloss or tint, and the shade names are all you would hope from something shaped like a miniature bottle of the good stuff!

The texture is a water-gel so it literally just glides onto your lips but remember it is a tint (quite stainy too) so you can go one swipe and it’s light coverage, two and it’s medium but you never do really get a full saturation from it, the exception being Shiraz Red which is highly pigmented. The finish is a mild sheen. Tints can be quite drying – once the water has evaporated you’re left with just the stain and tint so if you’ve got very dry lips I’d avoid these to be honest.
