Could crop insurance see cuts?

K-State ag economist Art Barnaby spoke at a recent farm bill workshop in eastern Nebraska.

Kansas State University ag economist Art Barnaby thinks cuts to the federal crop insurance program are a possibility.  He tells Brownfield the biggest threat is means testing, which could cause “less risky farmers” to exit the program.

We visited with Barnaby at a farm bill workshop held at the UNL Extension and Research Center near Mead, Nebraska.
