The Newport’s master suite was designed for privacy. From the great room, one steps into a vestibule and then turns right through a doorway and down a hall before reaching the bedroom itself, which has naturally aged wood flooring and a tray ceiling with a linear air-conditioning vent.

Besides its privacy factor, in relationship to the remainder of the interior of the home, the master bedroom has another design feature today’s buyer is looking for — direct outdoor access.  

In the Newport model, the access doesn’t come about through a single door, but rather walls of glass, specifically two 90-degree hurricane-impact, zero sliding edge pocket doors that retract back in two directions.
